- PRINTQ.EXE -- Netware Print Queue Utility

- PRINTQ is a Netware utility that allows the user to select a printer queue,
- for a selected file server, for a selected LPT device.
-
- If selecting a printer queue from a file server other than the default, the
- user is automatically logged in as "GUEST" (there should not be a password
- associated with this user id). Controls are in place to keep the user from
- being logged in to more than three servers in addition to the default server.

- FILES:

- printq.zip - zip file containing readme.doc, printq.exe, and printq.lbr.

- printq.exe - executable printer queue utility.

- printq.lbr - library containing the user screens.

- readme.doc - this document.

- INSTALLATION:
-
- Printq.exe and printq.lbr must be placed in the \public subdirectory
- of the file server. It is recommended to flag these files as Sharable.
- User trustee rights to the \public subdirectory must be at least Read,
- Open, and Search.

- PROGRAM EXECUTION

- To load the program the user must have \public in their path. Two
- methods are available to execute the program.

- printq - normal execution.

- printq /m - allows use of mouse.

- NOTES

- HI-SCREEN was used to develop the user interface.
- Netware C Interface-DOS was used to make the network calls.
- Turbo C was the program development package.

- This program was tested and is in use on a Novell SFT Netware 286
- TTS V2.15 Rev. C network. This network consists of 4 file servers with
- some 30 printer queues defined.
